Meet Dr. Jan-David Freund

After completing my studies in psychology, education, sociology, philosophy, and computer sciences, I began my doctorate in the field of developmental psychology with research on child development in preschool age as well as the quality of institutional and home learning environments. 2018 I finished my thesis and received a PhD from the Department of Developmental Psychology at the Otto Friedrich University of Bamberg. Since 2019, I have been working as an expert for education and psychology as well as future skills in the education, board game and toy sector. My educational focus is on playful and exploratory learning approaches, inspired by classics such as Dewey, Montessori, Vygotsky, and Bruner, while always being open to modern media and new developments.
